The African Orthopedic Initiative (AOI) was born from a simple yet heartbreaking observation: too many African children and youth live with preventable physical disabilities due to lack of access to specialized care.
As a committed orthopedic surgeon, I have witnessed lifeless eyes light up with hope after surgery. These human transformations give true meaning to our mission.
AOI is more than just an organization – it is a network of solidarity, a bridge between African expertise and international humanitarian commitment.
Together, we are working for an Africa where every child can walk, play, learn, and grow free from shame and pain. Thank you for believing with us that dignity also comes through movement.
